Sales Executive (Domestic Brand Development)
This position is Tokyo based.

We are seeking a Sales Executive (Domestic Brand Development) to join our growing team!

Job Description

As a Sales Executive, you will lead the development of partnerships with Japanese companies, manufacturers, and brands to provide products for our cross-border e-commerce platform and overseas retail network. You will be responsible for identifying potential partners, negotiating agreements, and supporting their global expansion through our digital ecosystem.

This role combines relationship management, market research, and strategic business development. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to drive platform growth and contribute to the overall success of our cross-border business.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new domestic brand partners and product suppliers for our global e-commerce and retail platforms.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with brand representatives nationwide.
  • Propose product lineups and partnership strategies, and manage end-to-end contract negotiations.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify domestic trends and provide advisory support for overseas expansion
  • Create and manage your own prospect lists while working to improve deal closing rates.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align partnership strategies with platform goals.
  • Travel frequently within Japan (approximately 1–2 times per month, occasionally overnight) and occasionally overseas (a few times per year).
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of sales experience (any industry; domestic sales preferred).
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Basic knowledge of the domestic market, consumer goods, and retail industries.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint required); CRM experience a plus.
  • Experience creating sales proposals and presentations using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to create and manage prospect lists and motivation to improve closing rates.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in the e-commerce or retail industry.>
  • Proficiency in English and Japanese; knowledge of additional languages such as Chinese.
  • Awareness of global market trends and interest in international business.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Japan and occasionally overseas.

  • This is a full-time position with a 6-month probation period.
  • Working hours are flexible.
